This is a 100 year old antique Japanese Taisho era (c.1920) ten piece set of red lacquer nesting bowl and serving tray set. It is made of cryptomeria wood with over 20 coats of Japanese red lacquer. It comes in the original wood storage box which has protected it over the years.

Having been in storage for over a century and used a century ago for only the most special of occasions, this magnificent set remains in  very good condition.
